My name is Toye Oglesby-Ward and I will be your child’s teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. I am looking forward to creating wonderful first grade memories!   

This is my third year teaching and my first year in Pearland ISD. My teaching experience includes Reading Interventionist, ELA-R, and Science. I have a BS in Business, MBA, and certification in Early Childhood (EC-6).  

I will do everything I can to make your child’s transition as smooth as possible. I look forward to getting to know my students and helping them reach their full learning potential. My goal is for them to develop a love for learning and encourage them to have fun while doing so.   

I have been married for 18 years, have two children and two wonderful grandchildren.  I also have a sweet chihuahua that has been in the family for 14 years!  In my free time I enjoy reading, traveling, photography, and doing puzzles.  

I believe that communication is very important; therefore, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that may arise. I will be happy to schedule a time to meet with you during my conference period, which is from 10:15-11:05.
