My name is Ms. Kelly Braden

I am the teacher for Family Consumer Science and Business Classes at PACE's ACE program in Pearland ISD.  I am also the School Age Parenting Program Coordinator for Pearland ISD.

I have been teaching for 11 years and this is my 10th year here at PACE!  I love teaching at PACE and working with our students and seeing them set goals and achieve them!  

GENERAL INFORMATION

You might be asking, "What is Family Consumer Science?" 

Family and Consumer Sciences is an academic discipline that combines aspects of social and natural science. Family and Consumer Sciences deals with the relationship between individuals, families, and communities, and the environment in which they live. The field represents many disciplines, including consumer science, nutrition, food preparation, parenting, early childhood education, family economics and resource management, human development, interior design, textiles, apparel design, as well as other related subjects. Family and Consumer Sciences Education is viewed as the focus of individuals and families living in society throughout their life span.

Business 

The classes I teach are Child Development, Lifetime Nutrition and Wellness, Hotel Mangement, and Principals of Human Services. 

My class schedule is as follows: 

  1st Period  7:15 to 7:58 a.m. - Parenting Related Services

  2nd Period 8:01 to 8:44 a.m - Parenting Related Services

  3rd Period 8:47 to 9:17 a.m. - Restore 101

  4th Period  10:06 - 10:49 a.m. - Conferene Period

  5th Period 10:52 to 11:35 a.m. - Lifetime Nurtrition & Wellness

  Lunch 11:35 - 12:05 p.m. - ACE Lunch

  6th Period 12:08 - 12:50 p.m. -  Lifetime Nutrition & Wellness

  7th Period -12:53 - 1:35 p.m. Child Development

  8th Period - 1:38 - 2:35 p.m. Principles of Human Serives

Tutorials are available on Tuesday and Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m. with an appointment.
