  • Berger named Assistant Superintendent for Support Services

    Pearland Independent School District welcomes Larry Berger as its Assistant Superintendent for Support Services. The former Pearland ISD’s director of maintenance, operations and facilities was promoted by the board of trustees effective early March, prior to the district closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Dawson Teacher honored with 2020 Outstanding Teaching of the Humanities Award

    Dawson High School teacher Susan Henson was recently honored with the 2020 Outstanding Teaching of the Humanities Award presented by the nonprofit organization Humanities Texas.

  • District offers enrichment activities throughout the summer

    This summer, Pearland Independent School District students will have an opportunity to continue to learn and stay engaged while also having fun through Pearland Link ‘n Learn, a 10-week program that offers instructional enrichment activities for students grades K-8.

  • Pearland ISD continues free meal distribution through June 30

    Pearland Independent School District will continue to offer free curbside Grab & Go meals until June 30, five times a week, Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Adult meals will not be served. Families must remain in their vehicle as meals are delivered in the pick-up lane.

  • UIL Amended Rules for 2020-21 School Year

    The University Interscholastic League (UIL) has amended rules to their constitution and contest rules for the 2020-2021 school year regarding Pre-Participation Physical Examinations for High School Marching Band (Grades 9-12) and Athletics (Grades 7-12). This change will be valid ONLY for the 2020-2021 school year. Per UIL guidelines, the following must be done prior to any try-out, participation, practice, or performance including in-season or off-season activities.
