Berry Miller JH Honors Band Earns Commended Winner Status in Citation of Excellence Competition

The Berry Miller Honors Band has been named a Commended Winner in the Citation of Excellence project, a national competition recognizing outstanding performance by non-varsity middle and high school bands and orchestras.
The Citation of Excellence project provides a unique competitive platform for ensembles to have their performance quality evaluated against other top non-varsity groups across the country. The competition recognizes the top 50% of entrants, with the top 25% earning the title of Citation Winners and the next 25% being named Commended Winners.
In addition to the prestigious recognition, all participating ensembles receive adjudicator critiques and a compilation recording of the winning performances. This valuable feedback is designed to help improve performance quality and promote awareness of high-quality musical literature.
The Berry Miller Honors Band’s achievement is a testament to the students' hard work and dedication, as well as the exemplary leadership of their directors. This recognition places the band among the most distinguished non-varsity ensembles nationwide.
