Pearland Independent School District proudly announces that Dr. La'Kesha Henson-Vaughn, Executive Director of Intermediate Schools, has been selected as an Inspiring Leader by the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA). This prestigious designation honors Texas public school staff members who demonstrate exceptional dedication and serve as inspirational figures in their daily work, particularly given the ever-changing landscape of modern education.

Dr. Henson-Vaughn was chosen from a strong field of candidates across the state, with TASA recognizing her significant contributions to fostering a positive and rigorous learning environment for intermediate students. The award seeks to highlight leaders who embody resilience, innovation, and a deep commitment to student success.

As Executive Director of Intermediate Schools, Dr. Henson-Vaughn oversees operations and instructional effectiveness for Pearland ISD's eight middle school and junior high campuses. Her leadership is crucial in navigating the transitional years of education, ensuring continuity while promoting innovative teaching practices.
