Pearland ISD Marching Bands Achieve Historic Success at Bands of America Regional Competition

Pearland Independent School District is celebrating the remarkable achievements of both Pearland High School and Dawson High School marching bands following their participation in the prestigious Bands of America South Houston Regional competition.

The Pearland High School "Pride of Pearland" Marching Band secured the Regional Championship for the second consecutive year, an outstanding and hard-earned achievement. The band’s exceptional performance and dedication solidified their reputation as a premier high school marching band program in the region.

Not to be outdone, the Dawson High School "Eagle" Marching Band also made history, earning their highest placement ever at a BOA regional event. The DHS band finished in an impressive 4th place overall, showcasing the program's significant growth and talent.

"We are incredibly proud of the students, directors, and staff at both Pearland High School and Dawson High School," said Director of Fine Arts, Tom Bell. "Their dedication, discipline, and commitment to excellence are evident in these historic results. This success highlights the strength of our music and fine arts programs across the district."
