National Superintendent Forum

The National Superintendents Forum announced that Pearland Independent School District Superintendent, Dr. Larry Berger, will serve as a speaker at the upcoming 2026 National Superintendents Forum September 13-15. Co-located with the 2026 South Special Education Congress, the invitation-only event brings together 80 select superintendents from across the country for a high-impact, collaborative exchange on the most pressing issues facing public education today.

As public education undergoes a period of rapid transformation, district leaders are navigating unprecedented complexities. From persistent staffing shortages and declining student engagement to heightened political pressures and ongoing funding uncertainties, superintendents remain at the helm, striving to ensure equity and student success.

"District leaders are facing a unique moment defined by both immense uncertainty and extraordinary opportunity," Dr. Larry Berger said. "I am honored to join this distinguished group of superintendents to engage in deep, actionable conversations that will help shape resilient, future-ready schools to support improved student outcomes."

Through focused discussions, collaborative roundtables, and expert-led sessions, the forum offers an intimate space for executive leadership to trade field-tested solutions. Key topics on the 2026 agenda include the evolving role of AI, teacher pipeline and retention, mental health initiatives and equitable funding models.
