Pearland High School Football Team Scores Big with #1 Sportsmanship Ranking

The Pearland High School Oiler football program was recognized for its outstanding sportsmanship, earning the top spot among all schools in the greater Houston area. The prestigious award was presented by the Touchdown Club of Houston at their annual High School Sportsmanship Luncheon.

The award, voted on by game officials, celebrates teams that demonstrate exceptional character, respect, and integrity both on and off the field.  This impressive achievement reflects the strong leadership of the Oiler coaching staff, the dedication of the student-athletes, and the unwavering support of the Pearland community.

“We are incredibly proud of our PHS football team for earning this well-deserved recognition,” said Pearland ISD Director of Athletics, Ben Pardo. “This award speaks volumes about the character of our players and coaches, and it highlights the positive culture we strive to cultivate within our athletic program.”

The Touchdown Club of Houston’s High School Sportsmanship Award is a highly regarded honor in the region, and Pearland High School is honored to be recognized among such a competitive field of schools.  This award underscores the importance of sportsmanship in high school athletics and reinforces the values that the Oiler football program instills in its players.
