Pearland ISD Communications wins 36 state PR awards

The Pearland ISD Communications Department earned high honors at the annual Texas School Public Relations Association conference this February, securing a total of 36 awards for excellence in communication.
Among the accolades, the district earned two top distinctions: a Best of Category and Crystal Certificate of Merit.
Best of Category: Awarded for the Your Child. Their Future. Your Choice. postcard, created for the district's annual enrollment campaign. This award is given to the single best Gold Star entry in a specific category among similarly sized districts.
Crystal Certificate of Merit: Also earned for the comprehensive marketing enrollment campaign.

The Pearland ISD Communications Department is committed to fostering transparent relationships between the district and the public. The team oversees a comprehensive suite of communication and community relations channels, including the district website, social media platforms, print and digital newsletters, and media relations. Additionally, the department manages press releases, emergency communications, and district-wide event planning.
The following Communications team members were recognized for their outstanding contributions: Victor Bushfield, Joy Cardenas, Cindy Gutierrez, Laura McClellan, Cristina Rodriguez, Allee Schumacher and Martha Stanley. The department operates under the strategic leadership of Aliana Wynn, Director of Communications, and Dr. Sundie Dahlkamp, Assistant Superintendent of Talent and Engagement.
