Pearland ISD High School Students Advance to State in TMEA Band and Choir

Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Logo

Pearland Independent School District recently celebrated students earning places in Texas Music Educators Association all-state performing groups. Five students from PHS and fourteen from DHS advanced to the TMEA all state. In mid-February, these all-state students will participate in rehearsals directed by nationally recognized conductors before performing for thousands of attendees at the annual TMEA Clinic/Convention in San Antonio, the nation’s largest music educator’s convention.

The success of these All-State qualifiers serves as a profound testament to their grit and a culture of unwavering ambition within the district. Rather than a single achievement, these placements represent the culmination of years of relentless practice and the tenacity necessary to conquer the state’s most competitive stage year after year.
