Pearland ISD Middle School Choirs Sweep Top Honors at Shadow Creek Choral Festival

Middle School Choir

Student musicians from across the district delivered a powerhouse performance last weekend at the Shadow Creek Choral Festival, coming home with a clean sweep of superior ratings and several of the competition's highest honors.

The festival, which follows a rigorous evaluation format, saw all four Pearland ISD Middle School Choirs earn a First Division Superior Rating from every judge on the panel. This unanimous recognition highlights the exceptional technical skill and artistry of the district’s choral programs.

In addition to the superior ratings, two schools earned prestigious "Best of" distinctions:

Alexander Middle School secured the Best-in-Class Award for 6th Grade Mixed Choir. Their performance culminated in the festival's top honor: the Overall Best in Festival Award, naming them the highest-scoring ensemble of the entire event. Sablatura Middle School was honored with the Citizenship Award, a distinction given to the program that demonstrates the highest level of professionalism, respect, and character throughout the competition.

This weekend's success marks a significant milestone for the fine arts department.
