Pearland ISD Artists Achieve Historic Milestones at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Auction

Houston Rodeo Livestock 2026

Pearland Independent School District is proud to announce that 13 student artworks have been selected for the 2026 School Art Auction, part of the distinguished School Art Program hosted by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. For more than 50 years, this program has provided students from prekindergarten through 12th grade with meaningful opportunities to compete, earn scholarships, attend summer workshops, and exhibit their work in the Hayloft Gallery. The program serves approximately 130 school districts across the Houston area, including private and parochial schools.

The competition received more than 200,000 entries. The Rodeo committee selected only 90 pieces for the highly competitive auction lots, representing 0.045 percent of submissions. Pearland ISD is honored to have 13 of those 90 auction selections, reflecting the exceptional talent, creativity, and dedication of its student artists. All three Pearland ISD high schools are represented, along with two junior high campuses and one elementary school, highlighting the strength and depth of the district’s visual arts programs at every level. Lot numbers are assigned by the Rodeo committee, and each selected piece will be sold to the highest bidder during the auction.
