Pearland ISD Students Earn International Recognition at Future Problem Solving World Finals

This summer, Pearland Independent School District attended the 2026 Future Problem Solving International Conference in Indiana earning recognition among top competitors from around the world.
Students from Glenda Dawson High School received an Honorable Mention in the Future Problem Solving IC 2026 World Finals Global Issues Problem Solving competition in the Senior Division. Team members Fiona, Leah, Yuanxi, and Grace competed as Team TS-322 and were recognized for their outstanding problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaborative work.
The students also earned top placements in the highly competitive MAGIC Team division, which brings together Future Problem Solving students from different affiliates, states, and countries to compete collaboratively on international teams.
- Yu of Glenda Dawson High School earned 3rd Place in the Future Problem Solving IC 2026 World Finals MAGIC Team competition as part of Team MJ-911.
- Ian of Glenda Dawson High School earned 2nd Place in the Future Problem Solving IC 2026 World Finals MAGIC Team competition as part of Team MJ-911.
The Future Problem Solving Program International challenges students to apply research, creativity, communication, and critical thinking skills to complex global issues and future-oriented scenarios.
