2025 Outstanding Hispanic Teacher

Pearland ISD is proud to announce that Beatrice Angulo, a special education teacher and coach at Pearland Junior High South, has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Outstanding Hispanic Teacher Award. This prestigious honor is presented annually by the Brazoria County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to a deserving teacher from each school district in the county.

The award recognizes the significant contributions of Hispanic educators to their students and communities. Angulo will be honored on September 13, 2025, at the 2025 Latin Festival at Pearland Town Center. The award presentation will begin at 3:30 PM on the main stage, where she will be recognized for her dedication and excellence in education.

Angulo is in her 16th year in education and is dedicated to fostering growth, resilience, and confidence in every student she serves. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master's in Special Education from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

As a proud U.S. Army veteran, she brings discipline, dedication, and compassion to her work. As a mother, she is reminded daily that every child is unique and deserves patience, understanding, and opportunity. Throughout her career, Angulo has learned that her job is to serve others, advocate, and be a role model for her children, students, and athletes.

The Brazoria County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is committed to fostering the growth and development of Hispanic businesses and professionals in the region. The annual Outstanding Hispanic Teacher Award is part of its ongoing efforts to celebrate and support educational excellence within the community.
