Pearland Independent School District invites the community to its annual #iwillASK event, a dedicated evening focused on suicide prevention, mental health, and personal well-being. The event will take place on Thursday, Jan. 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Dawson High School, located at 2050 Cullen Blvd., Pearland, TX 77581.

The #iwillASK initiative is designed to foster open conversations about mental health and provide vital resources to students and families. Junior high and high school students, parents, and community members are encouraged to attend this free event.

The evening will offer a blend of engaging activities and expert insights to help attendees navigate the complexities of mental wellness.

Highlights include:
Panel Discussions: Hear from students regarding mental health awareness and prevention strategies.
Informational Booths: Local mental health professionals and agencies will be on-site to provide direct access to resources and professional guidance.
Sensory Activity Tables: Interactive stations designed to demonstrate healthy coping mechanisms and stress-relief techniques.
Engagement & Fun: Attendees can enjoy a photo booth, receive giveaway items, and enjoy free food throughout the evening.

"Our goal with #iwillASK is to break the stigma surrounding mental health and ensure our students and families know they are never alone," Clara Gerard, Pearland ISD Director of Counseling and Guidance Services said. "By bringing together professionals and the community, we create a network of support that can save lives."
