Merideth Oliver, Texas History teacher at Pearland Junior High South, recently served as a featured presenter at the Texas Living History Association Conference. The event brought together historians, museum professionals, and educators from across the state to explore innovative ways to preserve and teach Texas heritage.
Oliver co-led an insightful session titled "Teaching the Teachers," where she focused on the vital bridge between local history organizations and the classroom. Drawing from her extensive experience in partnering with historical societies, Oliver provided museum curators and educational directors with a roadmap for creating more impactful, curriculum-aligned field trips and workshops.
