Pearland Junior High West Wins Fort Worth Rodeo Classroom Award

PJH West Fort Worth Rodeo Classroom Award

For the second year in a row, an art program within Pearland ISD has been recognized with the distinguished Fort Worth Rodeo Classroom Award. This year’s winner, Pearland Junior High West, receives the honor and a substantial grant for its successful art program.

The award, which celebrates excellence in art education, includes a generous $5,000 prize from the Fort Worth Rodeo. Adding to the recognition, the program also received an additional $1,000 contribution from Whataburger.

Along with the significant funding boost, Pearland Junior High West was presented with a one-year display trophy, beautifully engraved with the school’s information.

"We are incredibly proud to see our middle school art programs achieve this exceptional recognition for the second consecutive year," Victor Raygoza, Pearland ISD Fine Arts Coordinator said. "Our staff continue to showcase consistent dedication and talent across our district."

The Pearland ISD community extends its deepest congratulations to the hardworking students of Pearland Junior High West and their dedicated art teachers: Christa George, Rhiana Cass, and Ashley Kessler, for this remarkable accomplishment.

The awarded funds will be used to further support and enhance the art program, providing students with additional resources and opportunities to explore their creativity.
