Pearland ISD General Counsel Tanya Porter Named First Vice Chair of TASB Legal Assistance Fund Board

Pearland Independent School District proudly announces that Tanya Porter, the district’s General Counsel, has been named the First Vice Chair of the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Legal Assistance Fund Board.

Porter, a respected leader in Texas public education law, steps into this significant statewide position to help govern the fund dedicated to supporting school districts across the state in critical legal matters.

The TASB Legal Assistance Fund is administered by a highly selective seven-member board of trustees. This body is composed of key leadership figures from Texas educational organizations, including:

  • The President, President-Elect, and a Vice-President of TASB.
  • The President and President-Elect of the Texas Association of School Administrators.
  • The Chair and Vice-Chair of the Texas Council of School Attorneys. The TASB President serves as the overall Chair of the Fund Board.
