Pearland ISD Sees Exponential Growth in Teacher Incentive Allotment, Funding Nearly Doubles

TIA 2026 229 Teachers

Pearland ISD is celebrating a milestone year for educator excellence as the Texas Education Agency grants data validation approval for the district’s Teacher Incentive Allotment system. The program has seen a dramatic surge in both participation and funding, with $2,222,336 now designated for teacher compensation, nearly doubling the $1.55 million generated just one year ago. The number of high-performing teachers receiving these prestigious designations has also climbed significantly, jumping from 164 teachers last year to 229 in the current cycle.

The TIA, established by House Bill 3, provides a pathway for top-tier educators to earn six-figure salaries while helping districts like Pearland ISD attract and retain the best talent in the state.

“This is a powerful validation of the expertise and heart our educators pour into their classrooms,” Pearland ISD Superintendent Dr. Larry Berger said. “Seeing our number of designated teachers grow from 164 to 229 in just one year highlights the incredible caliber of talent within our district. As we continue working to expand the program and create even more opportunities for teacher recognition and support, we are ensuring that our highest-performing educators remain right here in Pearland inspiring and impacting our students every day.”
