Student Attendance Expectations
Students are required to attend at least 90% of the days a course is offered (with some exceptions) to receive credit and be promoted. Due to a condensed summer schedule, students may not have more than one absence a session to earn credit. District processes and requirements for documentation of absences remain in effect.

Summer School Information
Dear Parents,
Pearland ISD is providing summer school for English learners who have completed Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten. This is a program free of charge to Bilingual/ESL Pre-K and Kindergarten students. The program is designed to reinforce skills and prepare students for the next grade level through a variety of learning opportunities.
The dates for summer school will be June 1 – 25, 2026. Classes will take place at Cockrell Elementary School, Monday -Friday from 7:50 AM - 2:50 PM. Enrollment through Skyward will be available from April 1 - May 8. Please contact Perla González by email at gonzalezpe@pearlandisd.org if you have questions about the summer school program.

El distrito escolar de Pearland estará ofreciendo clases de verano para estudiantes que están aprendiendo inglés y que han completado Pre-Kínder o Kínder. Este es un programa gratuito para alumnos de Pre-Kínder y Kínder actualmente matriculados en el programa bilingüe o en inglés como segundo idioma.
