When do we start?
Math & Science Club
Number Sense 7:50 – 8:20 a.m. (Jablonski 407)
4 – 4:45 p.m.
4:00-5:00 p.m. Science
General Math 7:40 – 8:25 a.m. (Venkat/Jablonski 406/407)
Math enthusiasts learn and refine skills in General Math, Number Sense, Calculator, and General Science. Competitions on Saturdays throughout the year.
5-6 competitions on Saturdays leading up to state competition in April.
(after Meet the Teacher Night)
FPS students learn, practice and apply a six-step thinking, discussion & writing process competitively on 4 different topics each year. This year, teams will research e-waste, digital realities, our throw-away society, and robotic workforce.

Quiz Bowl is a competition that prepares students for high school level Academic Decathlon. Students study together to prepare for General Trivia or Super Quiz.
The Super Quiz topic for 2023 is the Industrial Revolution!
Student Interest Meeting
Day of the week is determined by each team.
DI is a creative problem-solving competition. Students work in teams of 5-7 to solve a central challenge in the area of Science or Fine Arts. Focus is on creativity and teamwork.
Gulf Coast DI
Regional competition in February.
Parent/Student interest meeting for Sab & PJHW
Opportunities to participate in chess tournaments this year.
2-3 tournaments with Deer Park ISD
7:45 - 8:30 a.m.
Learn Python and spend time with other coding enthusiasts working on coding projects. Space is limited.

Young Authors Club
Explore character, setting and plot development for fictional genres of writing. Learn about the writing process and have the opportunity to start your own book.
StuCo strives to develop leadership qualities, to plan and organize activities such as Red Ribbon Week, a toy drive, and community service projects, and promote school spirit.
WAMS (Wildcatter Ambassadors)
1st and 3rd Friday
Student centered group focused on promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students . Responsible for planning and implementing various culture building activities across the campus like Start with Hello Week and .

National Junior Honor Society
Current NJHS members should check Canvas for meeting dates & times.
Student’s grade average, character, leadership, service and citizenship are evaluated to determine who will be inducted.
Students are selected after the end of the fifth six weeks.
