    Pearland ISD remains committed to health and safety, high-quality instruction and the support of each of our students and staff.   • Long, Grimmett named 2020 Teachers of the Year

    Pearland Independent School District teachers Kimberly Long and John Grimmett strive to make a positive impact in students’ lives every day. Thanks to their dedication to students, Rogers Middle School’s Long and Dawson High School’s Grimmett are the Pearland ISD 2020 Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year.

  • Dawson Teacher honored with 2020 Outstanding Teaching of the Humanities Award

    Dawson High School teacher Susan Henson was recently honored with the 2020 Outstanding Teaching of the Humanities Award presented by the nonprofit organization Humanities Texas.

  • UIL Amended Rules for 2020-21 School Year

    The University Interscholastic League (UIL) has amended rules to their constitution and contest rules for the 2020-2021 school year regarding Pre-Participation Physical Examinations for High School Marching Band (Grades 9-12) and Athletics (Grades 7-12). This change will be valid ONLY for the 2020-2021 school year. Per UIL guidelines, the following must be done prior to any try-out, participation, practice, or performance including in-season or off-season activities.

  • Local partners and education foundation join Pearland ISD Senior Celebration Week

    Pearland ISD seniors are missing meaningful ceremonies due to the COVID-19 crisis, such as graduation and prom. In response, the Pearland ISD Education Foundation has joined the school district in partnering with local organizations for Senior Celebration Week to be held May 18-21.
