  • Class of 2019 SAT scores surpass state average

    The College Board recently released the 2019 SAT scores and Pearland Independent School District’s 2019 senior class surpassed the state’s SAT average by 110 points.

  • Students place at Brazoria County Fair

    Turner College and Career High School senior Taylor Bossley won Reserve Champion ORB Heifer, senior Jayce Morgan won Swine Grand Champion Senior Showmanship and Pearland High School tenth-grader Mary Mathis won Reserve Champion Southdown Lamb. TCCHS senior Breanna Camario won Reserved Best in Class in Art II.

  • District receives superior rating for financial accountability

    For the 16th time, Pearland Independent School District recently received an “A” for Superior Achievement under School Financial Accountability Rating System of Texas (FIRST) for the 2018-19 rating year based on the 2017-18 school year data.

  • Junior high students win seats in all-region band

    Following an intense competition, Pearland Independent School District students from all four Pearland junior high schools secured 168 spots in the all-region band during the Texas Music Educators Association Region 19 auditions on Nov. 2. Pearland ISD secured the highest number of spots among districts in the region.

  • Junior high and high school singers secure seats in all-region choirs

    Following an intense competition, 85 students from Pearland and Dawson high schools secured spots in the all-region choir during the Texas Music Educators Association Region 19 auditions on Oct. 7. Additionally, 79 students from all four Pearland junior high schools won places in the all-region junior high choir during auditions held the weekend of Oct. 19.
