  • District launches mobile app to communicate regarding bus services

    Parents who have requested transportation services for their child/children or who are already receiving bus services provided by the district will soon have access to a new parent app called Stopfinder. An easy to use, all-in-one app, Stopfinder allows parents/guardians to have the most accurate information about their student’s bus schedule at anytime from anywhere.

  • Students to compete at state DECA meet

    Pearland Independent School District is advancing seven students, seven from Pearland High School and 27 from Dawson High School, to the DECA State Career Development Conference to be judged February 24-26 after success at a district competition in January.

  • Eighteen Pearland ISD students advance in Houston Rodeo art competition

    Eighteen Pearland Independent School District artists were recently selected to advance in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo art program competition. Their artwork is moving on to the next round of judging known as Grand Prix, in which 72 pieces of art will be chosen by judges to be auctioned for student awards and the rodeo’s educational fund.

  • High school students win seats in all-region, area bands

    Following an intense competition, 126 students from Pearland and Dawson high schools secured spots in the all-region band during the Texas Music Educators Association Region 19 auditions on December 4. Out of these, 22 students from PHS and 44 from DHS also won places in the area high school band. Additionally, 101 ninth-graders won spots in the freshman all-region band.
