Experience a night of music and theatre at Pearland Independent School District with   Pearland High School’s Pearland Theatre production of “Descendants” and Dawson High School’s Ovation Theatre production of “Matilda”.

Descendants

PHS’s Pearland Theatre presents “Descendants”! Based on a popular Disney movie of the same name, Disney's Descendants: The Musical is jam-packed with comedy, adventure, Disney characters and hit songs from the films!

Imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost – home of the most infamous villains who ever lived – the teenaged children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island… until now. When the four troublemakers are sent to attend prep school alongside the children of beloved Disney heroes, they have a difficult choice to make: should they follow in their parents’ wicked footsteps or learn to be good?

The musical “Descendants” can be seen in the PHS auditorium (3775 South Main) on Jan. 20 and Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. and Jan. 21 and Jan. 28 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students, senior citizens and staff, and $12 for reserved admission. All tickets must be purchased online at www.pearlandisd.org/FineArtsTickets.

Matilda

Roald Dahl’s “Matilda” will soon take place at Dawson High School. 

Matilda, an extraordinary girl armed with a sharp mind and a vivid imagination, dares to take a stand against her oppressive parents and head teacher to change her story with miraculous results.

The musical “Matilda” can be seen in the DHS auditorium (2050 Cullen Blvd.) on Jan. 27 and Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. and on Jan. 28 and Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
