During a special meeting on Tuesday, March 1, the Pearland ISD Board of Trustees approved a leave request proposed by Dr. John Kelly, superintendent. The board has not named an interim or acting superintendent, but by typical protocol, David Moody, deputy superintendent, will be fulfilling the superintendent responsibilities effective March 7 until a replacement for this position is named by the board. The board is actively involved in the search for a new superintendent, and is excited and optimistic about the future success of this district.
