Pearland ISD spirit shirt helps to raise funds for the education foundation
The Pearland ISD Education Foundation has launched its annual I AM PEARLAND ISD spirit shirt campaign. The I AM PEARLAND ISD campaign encourages students, staff, and community members to wear their support for the school district. This year’s campaign offers new design and styles including a baseball style tee in youth and adult sizes.
Students and supporters are encouraged to wear their shirts on I AM PEARLAND ISD spirit days throughout the school year. As a bonus, all Pearland ISD faculty and staff who have the 2021 shirt may wear with jeans. I AM PEARLAND ISD spirit days for the 2021-22 school year are: October 20, November 18, December 13, January 18, February 22, March 9, April 14, and May 16.
The fundraising initiative is in its fourth year and has collectively raised over $40,000 for the Pearland ISD Education Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which provides funds for innovative education projects in schools. “There is so much community pride for our school district,” Pearland ISD Education Foundation President Sandy Cavazos said. “We love having the opportunity to show that support while also raising funds towards our mission.”
The spirit campaign has a goal to sell 1,000 shirts by Sept. 20. To purchase I AM PEARLAND ISD district merchandise, visit www.bonfire.com/iampearlandisd2021. For more information about the Pearland ISD Education Foundation, visit www.pearlandisd.org/foundation.
