Dawson High School students bound for state SkillsUSA competition

Two Dawson High School students will be representing Pearland Independent School District at the SkillsUSA state competition to be held online in April.

High School seniors Grace Templonuevo and Sophia Wilson have recently received a silver medal at the District 9 SkillsUSA competition in Digital Cinema Production (under the Arts/AV contest) held online on February 8, which qualified them to move forward in the competition.

SkillsUSA strives to help students become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens through a structured program of citizenship, leadership, employability and technical and professional skills training.

More than 300,000 students and advisors participate in SkillsUSA annually.
