Three TCCHS students advance to HOSA International

       Turner College and Career High School juniors Noah Meah, Andrew Petersen and Joy Rosas will represent Pearland Independent School District at the International HOSA - Future Health Professionals Conference to be held online in June, due to COVID-19.

       Noah Meah is a finalist in Job Seeking Skills and Joy Rosas and Andrew Petersen are finalists in CPR/First Aid Team.

       Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is a program focused on developing students who are interested in pursuing a career in health care.

       This is the fifth consecutive year TCCHS is represented by students competing at the international level.

       Additionally, six TCCHS will receive the Barbara James Award of Recognition for having volunteered in the medical field a minimum of 100 hours in a calendar year. The award recipients include:

  • Angelica Garcia - Bronze Award
  • Kendra McDonald - Silver Award
  • Mia Miguel - Bronze Award
  • Karl Orduna - Bronze Award
  • Joy Rosas - Bronze Award
  • Dezarae Taylor - Bronze Award

       The Health Science teachers are the sponsors at TCCHS.
