Nine Berry Miller students named finalists in MLK poster/essay contest
Nine Berry Miller Junior High students have been recently named finalists in a poster and contest held by the nonprofit organization Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Committee (MLKCC). The students created their pieces based on the theme “Stronger Together”.
Essay Winners/Finalist:
Seventh-graders:
- Lane Duncan – Second Place
- Kaitlyn Bui – Third Place
Eighth-graders:
- Jack Liu – First Place
- Raina Alam – Third Place
Art/Poster Winners/Finalist:
Seventh-graders:
- Alexandra Narvaez – First Place
- Kelly Li – Second Place
Eighth-graders:
- Sion Joo – 8th – First Place
- Jack Liu – 8th – Second Place
- Julia Xiao – 8th – Third Place
Participating students had an opportunity to display their talents as well as reflect on the importance of working together.
