Covid-19 Vaccine Opportunity for 16 years old and up

       Dear Parents/Guardians:

We wanted to share an opportunity for those interested in the COVID-19 vaccine for individuals 16 years old and up. Harris County Public Health (HCPH) has been partnering with Region 4 and Houston-area school districts to offer vaccination opportunities.

Here is the latest information from Harris County Public Health:

  • HCPH’s site at NRG Park is only offering Pfizer vaccine. We can vaccinate all 16-18 year olds at this site. We would love for you to encourage all your teenagers 16 years and up to get vaccinated at this site. A parent does need to come with them for vaccination to provide consent. Anyone 18 or older can go to any of our other sites (offering Moderna)
  • Effective immediately, Harris County Public Health will allow drive ups to any of our sites. This means individuals do not need an appointment.
  • If individuals still want an appointment they can register at https://vacstrac.hctx.net/landing.
  • Effective today, NRG will operate at different hours. Instead of daytime hours, now you can get vaccinated from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. to help accommodate individuals to get vaccinated after work or other activities.

For questions or additional information, please contact Harris County Public Health at 713-274-5761.
