Pearland High School educator recognized with Outstanding Hispanic Teacher Award

       Pearland High School’s Cornelio Medellin was recently recognized with the Outstanding Hispanic Teacher Award, presented by the Brazoria County Chamber of Commerce.

       A Spanish teacher at PHS with more than 15 years in education, Medellin was awarded for serving as an exemplary model of leadership through professional achievements, community relationships and for fostering care and concern for students and community members.

       Additionally, Turner College and Career High School class of 2021 graduate Domenica Gomez was recognized with the Outstanding Hispanic Student Award, also presented by the Brazoria County Chamber of Commerce.
