We have a remarkable group of teachers that are knowledgeable, passionate and dedicated to their programs,” Akin said. “I want our team to help bolster these programs, taking the best and making them even better. This continual improvement can only help our students achieve greater things.”
Akin holds a master’s degree in Industrial Technology from Sam Houston State University and a bachelor’s degree in Technical Education from Texas A&M University.
“I am honored to serve as the new CTE director and, alongside my team, I believe in always putting our students at the forefront of our decisions. This is what will continue to move us towards being a world-class district.”
