Twelfth annual Pearland ISD Livestock Show, Career Expo slated for Sept. 6-8 and 14
The community is gearing up for the twelfth annual Pearland Independent School District Livestock Show & Career Expo Sept. 6-8 and 14 at the Richard L. Wagoner Agricultural Facility (4715 Bailey Road).
During the show, Pearland ISD students will exhibit livestock, showcase career talents and win scholarships and awards in art and culinary contests and lamb, goat, swine and cattle shows.
Additionally, the fourth Pearland Partner Livestock Show will be held during the Pearland ISD Livestock Show. The event creates an opportunity for students to be paired with and mentored by Pearland ISD Future Farmers of America (FFA) students. This youth-teaching-youth initiative has allowed students to learn how to properly care, groom, manage and feed animals, including pigs, sheep and goats, culminating in a show where students exhibit animals in front of judges, peers, teachers, administrators and the Pearland community.
