Pearadox Robotics to be inducted into FIRST in Texas Robotics Hall of Fame

Pearadox Team The Pearland ISD Pearadox Robotics team has achieved the prestigious honor of being inducted into the FIRST in Texas Robotics Hall of Fame.

The team earned one of four District Championship Chairman’s Awards on June 11 in a virtual District Championship competition with over 200 teams from Texas and New Mexico. The competition consisted of submitting an in-depth essay and short answers, as well as a live, virtual presentation followed by a judge’s question period.

By expanding the opportunity to learn about S.T.E.M. through different online conferences during the quarantine, Pearadox inspired young minds. Team members presented key initiatives to inspire young girls to pursue S.T.E.M via their magazine (, expand and improve the available robotics pathways in Pearland ISD and help support local FIRST teams through scrimmages, engineering guidance and robot inspections.

About the Chairman’s Award

The Chairman’s Award is the most prestigious FIRST award, honoring the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the mission of FIRST. Judges evaluate teams’ activities over a sustained period (not just from the robot design and build period) and take into consideration outreach activities over a five-year period.
