DHS Wind Ensemble Places Fourth in State Honor Band Competition
The Dawson High School (DHS) wind ensemble placed fourth at the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) state honor band competition in July after sweeping regional and area competitions.
The varsity band, under the direction of Aaron Brown, finished the highest that DHS has ever placed in 6A.
“The Dawson wind ensemble worked tirelessly to get to where they are and I am beyond proud of their achievements,” Tom Bell, Pearland Independent School District fine arts director said. “I look forward to seeing what they can accomplish this year.”
